I went out to dinner with my best friend, Becki, last night and while we were waiting for a table, she told me about something that happened at her old college that a friend of her boyfriend was invovled with.

I'll call the kid "Alex." Well, Alex is a freshman at this school and not too long ago Alex and his roomate decided to do some drinking. I don't know how much Alex drank, but the roomate drank 10 coronas and a whole bottle of tequila. :o

Well, Alex gets up the next morning and goes to class. When he came back, he noticed his roomate was still in bed and thought that was odd. Then he noticed his roomate's eyes were open and he touched him and found he was cold. Alex thought "oh no he's dead!" :(

I don't know about you, but if I had found someone I know, or didn't know, dead, I would not do this.

Alex remember he had heard that dead people groan when you sit them up because of the air escaping their bodies. So the idiot tried to sit his roomate up to see if he would groan. The roomate didn't groan, and Alex admitted to Becki's boyfriend he was kind of disappointed. :o

Then, he told someone in the suite, who called the cops and helped him hide the alcohol.

It's sad that someone so young had to drink themself to death. But its really a shock when his roomate sits him up to see if he'll groan.

Beck and me talked about it---we both agreed we would probably have thrown-up, screamed or ran for help, but never do what that kid did. I have trouble picking up my pets when they die. I guess it's because I had known them alive, and seeing them dead is kind of disturbing.

I'm sorry for sharing this gruesome story. I just thought it was really f*****-up and needed to get it off my chest.

I hope everyone else recovers emotionaly from this and leanr something from it. It's so sad when people do that to themselves and those around them.

Well.......as an update on this nasty story, I got some insight on this kid Alex.

Monday night I was walking to a computer lab and ran into a dude who is a friend of mine, and is friends with my best friend's dude and this kid Alex.

Well, I told him what happened, and he was like "WHAAAAAT?!" and started asking me if I knew Alex or if he was upset about it. I said that I didn't know him and wasn't sure and then this dude told me a little more about this kid.

When the story started with "you would know if you had ever been in his room" I knew it had to be bad. Apparently, this kid is very big on dead stuff. Has books about autopsies. Cut up dolls in his room. Really nasty death metal posters. Really nasty ones. Alex is real facinated with death.

Gives me the creeps. Still ain't right............
