View Full Version : My dad hit a girl with his car
She ran into the pedestrian crossing. My dad was driving very slowly, but he wasn't able to stop in time. She has a concussion and a skull fracture.
And this not even two years after my parents' accident where my mom had her backbone broken (fortunately without serious consequences).
I hope the girl will be ok. I can't imagine how my dad will feel if she's not.

That's scary in any country. I saw a hit and run in an intersection the other day. At least your dad took care of it!

(((((Kama))))) (((((Kama's dad)))))
I hope she's okay. I'm sure your dad realizes he did all he could, but it's still a difficult thing to deal with. :(

How's the girl doing Kama? How about your dad (emotionally, I mean)?
((Kama))
We don't know about the girl yet. We have to wait until we hear from the police. She was taken to a very good hospital, though, and diagnozed immediately.
My dad seems to be fine, but he never really shows any emotions, so I can't tell.

and how are you doing?
I decided to think that everything is going to be fine and not worry beforehand.

What celia said. How *are* you doing?
I hope all of this works out well for everybody involved.

You posted before I could. That's a very sane approach to take. When something bad may be happening, I'm able to take that approach about 70% of the time now. Glad to know you're doing okay.

Any update Kama?
The girl is all right. She was released from the hospital after a couple of days.
My dad will have to go to a hearing, when it will be decided if the prosecutor will press charges. The police report (and the witnesses) say she ran into the car.

Well, that's good. At least things are looking up for all parties involved. :)
